A woman shares her terrifying experience inside a female restroom of a fast-food restaurant in Quezon City.
Recently, Lydel Ortiz, a Facebook user, shared a shared a chilling experience that happened to her inside the female restroom of a fast-food restaurant. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Ortiz recounted that while stopping for lunch with her family after traveling from Bicol, she went to the restroom of a McDonald’s branch. The restroom had two cubicles, and one was occupied.
As she was using the cubicle, she noticed a short-haired head attempting to peek through the small gap under the door. At first, she thought it was a child and politely said, “May tao po.” However, she was horrified to see a man lying on the floor, trying to fit his body into the gap.
Lydel began screaming for help repeatedly due to fear. Thankfully, her family was sitting near the restroom entrance, and her male cousin immediately rushed in. He caught the man in the act, who quickly tried to dress and flee.
Due to fear, Lydel stayed inside the cubicle, worried the man might be armed. The incident left her shaken, causing her to break down. She reflected on how something she had only seen in stories online became her terrifying reality.
The female victim emphasized the importance of awareness and safety precautions when using public restrooms.
Legal action is now being taken against the suspect. Lydel urged everyone to stay vigilant, especially women and children. She advised being accompanied when using public facilities and encouraged parents to watch over their children closely.

Time of event: 1:30 pm
Magla-lunch palang kami dahil bumyahe pa kami galing Bicol. Pumunta ako sa Female Restroom, may dalawang cubicle doon and yung isa occupied na. Habang naka-upo na ako sa bowl may nakita akong ulo na may maikling buhok na pilit ipinapasok sa maliit na gap ng door sa baba ng cubicle kung nasaan ako, akala ko bata kaya sumigaw ako ng “may tao po”. Seconds after mas narealize ko na nakahiga na pala siya sa floor at naka side ang katawan at pilit dinidikit buong katawan nya sa gap ng cubicle at pinakita ang ari niya habang nagma-masturbate at nakasilip saakin. Nagsisigaw ako ng “ATE” ng paulit-ulit and at the top of my lungs sa sobrang panic ko. Buti nalang yung table ng family ko is nasa tapat mismo ng main door ng C.R. Unang pumasok yung pinsan kong lalaki at naabutan niya pang nagbibihis. Sa sobrang panic ko hindi agad ako nakalabas ng cubicle kahit hawak hawak na siya ng papa at pinsan ko dahil natatakot ako na may patalim na dala kaya sigaw lang ako ng sigaw.
Nakikita ko lang mga gantong pangyayari sa facebook, hindi ko akalain na mangyayari saakin. Kahit ano palang tapang ko, noong ako na ginawan ng kabastusan wala akong nagawa kundi mag breakdown at umiyak ng umiyak lang. Before the incident didiretso dapat kami ng UST hospital para puntahan yung Psychiatrist ko at ibabalita na I am okay and I stopped my medicine already. Tapos may mangyayari lang pala na ganto. Thankful ako na kasama ko pamilya ko at that moment dahil pinafeel agad nila saakin na I am safe.
What if kung bata yung nagawan noon? Ano nalang? Grabe sobrang nakakapanlumo ang pangyayari akala ko maho-hostage ako sa loob ng CR ng mcdo. Matagal na pala siya naandon sa kabilang cubicle, waiting for his victim. Mag-iingat po tayong lahat please lalo na sa lahat ng babae diyan. Nagsasampa kami ng kaso ngayon, sana mas malala pa ang sanction na ibinibigay sa mga gantong klaseng tao.
Kung kaya magpa-sama pag gagamit ng mga public restrooms, please do. Sa mga anak ninyo babae man o lalaki, lagi ninyo pong samahan. Keep safe everyone”
