PNP Speaks on Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Following Medical Furlough Extension
APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed that the Pastor will be transferred to Pasig City Jail today.
Early this September, after several months of hiding, Pastor Quiboloy was arrested by the PNP authorities. The founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) is faced with charges not only in the Philippines but also abroad.
Quiboloy was brought to the PNP Custodial Facility in Camp Crame where he was detained for a few weeks now since he was arrested by the authorities. However, more than a week ago, Pastor Quiboloy was brought to the hospital after experiencing chest discomfort and irregular heartbeat.
The Court granted the request of Quiboloy’s camp for a medical furlough so he can be checked. He was brought to the Philippine Health Center.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) affirmed that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was briefly taken to the children’s hospital during his medical furlough for some tests. According to the PNP, he was right away taken back to the Philippine Health Center after the tests.
The camp of the Pastor requested for an extension of his medical furlough. According to his lawyer, Attorney Israelito Torreon, the Pastor was experiencing some dental infection due to his dental implants. The Court granted the request of the Pastor’s camp.
Recently, an update about Pastor Apollo Quiboloy crossed the surface. Based on a post of ABS-CBN News, the Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed that the KOJC Leader will be brought to the Pasig City Jail at 4:00 p.m. today as ordered by the Pasig City Court.
The co-accused of Pastor Quiboloy was brought to Pasig City Jail a few weeks ago while the Court decided to let him stay at the PNP Custodial Facility then. The verdict gained different reactions from the public then.
In the search for Pastor Quiboloy, the PNP’s intensified operations reportedly included drilling activities inside the KOJC compound in Davao City. Amid the search operations, Vice President Sara Duterte apologized to the KOJC members for seeking their support for Marcos Jr.
Duterte and her family is closed to the Pastor. Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte even said he will campaign for Pastor Quiboloy who is running for senator in the 2025 Elections.
