Tricycle Driver Suffers Injuries Mauled by His Neighbor
A tricycle driver suffered wounds and injuries after he was allegedly attacked by his neighbor in Bagong Silang, Caloocan.
A 24-year-old tricycle driver from Bagong Silang, Caloocan, was left injured and in need of surgery after an alleged altercation with his neighbor. The incident took place while the victim was on his way home from work.
According to the victim, his neighbor unexpectedly blocked his path and punched him in the head. Shocked and hurt, the tricycle driver attempted to escape, but the suspect chased him. Struggling to run due to his injury, the victim managed to escape but sustained injuries.
“Bigla niya po akong hininto. Bigla niya po akong sinuntok dito sa ulo hanggang sa makatakbo ako. Sinundan pa po niya ako,” the victim said.
The victim’s brother also shared that the suspect’s wife and child were allegedly involved in the attack. The wife reportedly threw a’baton’ or a pipe at the victim, and their child also joined in the assault. The situation escalated quickly, with neighbors witnessing the commotion.
“Iyong kapatid ko, biglang sinuntok sa ulo. Tapos may hinagis po iyong asawa niya na batuta ba iyon o tubo. Pati iyong anak niya po,” he added.
One of the witnesses recalled stepping in to stop the suspect, only to realize that the victim had already been hurt. Many other neighbors had come out of their homes due to the disturbance and saw the attack unfold.
The conflict between the two men reportedly began earlier, as the suspect accused the tricycle driver of being part of a group that had assaulted his child. However, the victim’s brother firmly denied these claims, stating that his sibling had no involvement in the incident with the suspect’s child.
Witnesses also suggested that the tricycle driver was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was not responsible for the alleged beating of the suspect’s child.
The victim’s family is now cooperating with authorities as an investigation into the incident continues.
