The incident took place in Barangay Buenlag as the pair were heading home after buying snacks. Further investigation by the police revealed that both the rider and the passenger had consumed alcohol before the accident.

Neither was wearing a helmet, which contributed to the severity of their injuries when they fell from the motorcycle.

Police Captain Rommel Dulay of the Mangaldan Police Station confirmed that the absence of helmets and the influence of alcohol played a major role in the accident. Without the proper protective gear, they were vulnerable to life-threatening injuries, especially head trauma.

Faustina’s family is left grieving, and her son, Jimboy Bautista, shared a heartfelt message for his late mother, expressing his hope that she watches over them and remains happy wherever she may be.
