Jake Cuenca is thankful for the friendship he has with Gerald Anderson
Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca shared an appreciation post for his friend and fellow ABS-CBN star Gerald Anderson.
Jake has been in the entertainment industry for many years. Over the years, he has already done various projects that boosted his career and gave him opportunities to work with different artists.
In showbiz, he was also able to establish friendships and one of the closest friends that he has is Gerald.
Jake Cuenca, in a recent Instagram post, shared his appreciation post for Gerald Anderson featuring their past and present photos.
“From ‘Tayong dalawa’ to ‘Tayong dalawa na nga lang,‘” Jake started his caption. He was referring to their TV series Tayong Dalawa back in 2009 with actress Kim Chiu.
Jake also mentioned that he and Gerald talked about their 17 years of friendship on a podcast. “Here’s to more learnings in life, milestones and even more accomplishments together! At kahit ano mangyari “bok walang talo talo” padin! Love you mucho bro @andersongeraldjr!” he added.
In the comment section of Jake’s post, Gerald had this comment, “I’ll always be here bok.” Jake’s girlfriend actress Chie Filomeno also commented on this and amused netizens. “Bok, walang talo talo!!!” she wrote.
Meanwhile, in an interview last April, Jake shared that he decided not to bond with some of his friends. The actor called these friends his “drinking buddies.” This came after a big realization he had three years ago.
Jake said that this happened when he almost died. Because of this, his perspective on life changed. With this decision, he had to cut ties with his drinking buddies. The actor admitted that being sober and staying away from alcohol drinks was one of the hardest things he did in his life.
Being in showbiz, drinking is part of socializing. Staying away from alcohol also meant that he had to say goodbye to his drinking buddies.
