Atty. Stephen David, Alice Guo’s Lawyer, Speaks on Former Mayor
Alice Guo’s lawyer Attorney Stephen David claimed that he has no more communication with the former Mayor “for several days already”.
Amid multiple complaints filed against her and her name being on the immigration lookout bulleting, former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was still able to depart from the Philippines. It was a few days ago when Senator Risa Hontiveros presented a document that left countless people frustrated.
During a Senate session, Hontiveros presented a document that claimed that Guo has left the country and arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last July 18. She reportedly moved to Singapore and then flew to Indonesia.
A photo of Guo before she boarded the Jet Air Asia crossed the surface. According to the Bureau of Immigration, Guo left the country without passing by the immigration.
The immigration bureau said that former Mayor Alice Guo is still in Indonesia. The authoritries are doing backtracking to identify who helped Guo leave the country to evade arrest. There is a pending arrest order against her issued by the Senate.
Even if the authorities in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia have confirmed Guo making an entry/exit to their borders, former Mayor Alice Guo’s lawyer, Atty. Stephen David, previously said that they have talked and she denied the reports that she is now in abroad.
Atty. David also claimed that he had a negotiation with Guo and he is hopefull that the former Mayor will soon surrender to the authorities. He is confident that they can defend him in the court.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, Atty. Stephen David claimed that he and former Mayor Alice Guo have no communication. Former Mayor Alice Guo’s lawyer said that it’s been “several days already” that they have not talked.
“I have not communicated with Mayor Alice Guo for several days already,” David said.
The lawyer of Guo also did not comment on the claim of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) that Guo is trying to get to the “Golden Triangle”, the crime-infested areas of Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. According to ther PAOCC, the Guo family is a part of a large crimination organization known as the Fujian Gang and they have business interest in Cambodia.
A few days after her reported departure from the Philippines, former Mayor Alice Guo’s sister, Shiela Guo, and Cassandra Li Ong who is also accused of a link to the illegal POGO operations in Porac, Pampanga, were detained in Indonesia.
Shiel Guo and Cassandra Li Ong were flown back to the Philippines. Charges were filed against them and they are now under the authorities.
