Lady Customer Vents Frustrations After Receiving Fake Croissants from Online Seller
A lady customer has expressed her disappointment after being scammed by an online seller who sold fake croissants.
Recently, May Rich, a Facebook user has shared her frustration after being scammed in an online purchase. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and garnered reactions from the online community.
Rich had ordered frozen croissants from a seller but was disappointed when the baked product turned out to be nothing like real croissants. Despite following the instructions to thaw and bake the product, the result was just ordinary bread shaped like a croissant.
May noted that even the dough did not resemble authentic croissant dough, and the final product was far from the quality she expected. She pointed out that the bread from a local bakery was both cheaper and better.
The lady customer had purchased three packs of these supposed croissants, each costing ₱380, and decided to return two of them. The seller agreed to refund her via GCash, but the process was far from smooth.
The woman experienced delays, having to wait five days for her refund and encountered additional stress when following up. When the refund finally came through, it was short by P60.
The post quickly went viral, receiving a flood of reactions and comments from other online shoppers. Many expressed their sympathy for May and frustration with dishonest sellers.
The incident has served as a reminder for online buyers to be cautious and to thoroughly check sellers before making a purchase.

“Na sc4m ako ng seller . nag order ako ng frozen croissant pero pagbake ko hindi nman to croissant. FYI, na thaw ko po ito bago i bake. Mismong dough pa lng nga ibang iba sa totoong croissant, until na binake ko na, ito na yung kinalabasan. Ordinary bread lng nman to finorm na croissant Honestly mas masarap pa bread ng Julies bakeshop 6 pesos lng. Ito 31.66 each tapos ako pa magbibake kaya pala mas mura xa compare sa iba 50+ each na kasi sa iba. kahit margarine lng sana pero sa details ng seller butter filling pa talaga.
3packs binili ko (380/pack) 12pcs ang laman, binalik ko yung 2 packs. Gcash lng daw yung refund, pumayag ako. pero after 5 days pa binalik ang refund ko, na stress pa ako tuwing mag follow up ako sa kanya ng refund. Nagrefund nga xa pero kulang pa ng 60pesos. Kalokang seller to kapag bibili ka sa kanya my kasamang stress”
