After five years of being together, singers Maris Racal and Rico Blanco have broken up which the actress tearfully announced during a Star Magic media conference. It’s over between them and it was the hardest decision they had to make.
Racal and Blanco first announced their relationship in 2021. But it all started before the pandemic happened. Love blossomed between them naturally after working on a song.
In the announcement, the actress shared that the breakup was still fresh as it just happened only a few weeks ago. The announcement was made after she was asked what his reaction to the popularity of SnoRene love team. She initially expressed that he was supportive but eventually, she admitted the breakup when someone inquired if she can see herself married to him.
“Rico and I are over,” she said while smiling through her tears.
Recalling the run of their relationship, their universe was beautiful and full of love and music. For five years, they were always in the same page but changes happened, especially to her. She’s uncertain but she turned to a new page without him and saw this new perspective in life.
She is curious with the desire to evolve due to the changes she is going through. The change may be good or bad but one this is for sure, it’s inevitable. There’s no escape to this and for her, she has to face it.
“So yeah, I told Rico about it. I told him my problems and my issues and he took it like a man. He took it like a man,” she shared. It was a difficult talk to make and a difficult break up but they ended it politely with love and understanding.
She was, at first, scared to announce it but she’s become tired of nodding and smiling when at the back of her head, she knows the truth.
