Here’s the emotional reunion that drove Claudine Barretto and the other cast to become emotional.
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – Cita Astals surprised her fellow “Home Along Da Riles” stars and here’s the emotional encounter.
Former actress Cita Astals is one of the stars of iconic sitcom “Home Along Da Riles”. However, her path seemed to have an unfortunate redirection due to some unwanted circumstances.
In 2009, she experienced manic episodes which led her to be diagnosed with bipolar type 1 disorder. She struggled because of this mental problem but through treatment and medication, she found herself at the right condition. The process was difficult but her story proved that it is possible to manage the disorder.
Last May, the “Home Along Da Riles” cast hopped on the Asoka trend and many were happy to see Astals again. Nova Villa, Claudine Barretto, Vandolph Quizon, Boy2 Quizon, Smokey Manaloto, Gio Alvarez, Jenny Quizon, and Maybelyn dela Cruz got reunited.
The cast members have been having reunions since 2023 but it was just the recent one when Astals finally joined. The moment of her surprise arrival was documented and the emotional reactions and happiness of the other stars were clearly shown.
The first one to come to her and hug her tight was Barretto. Manaloto expressed, “Nung niyakap namin siya, kahit na walang salita na lumalabas. Naiintindihan namin. Naiintindihan namin siya.”
Barretto also shared her thoughts and expressed that their family is finally slowly becoming complete.
“The family was lost for a while, but now it’s back. ”
They know that their Tatay is watching them and that he is happy for them.
