PAGASA Says HPA’s Ridge and Localized Thunderstorms to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that HPA’s ridge and localized thunderstorms will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (April 19, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ridge of a High-Pressure Area and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that the ridge of a High-Pressure Area will continue to extend over the eastern section of Luzon. Aurelio said that no weather disturbances are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility anytime soon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and/or thunderstorms over the entire Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.
Aurelio reported that hot and humid weather conditions will persist over the country despite the chances of isolated rains in the Visayas and Mindanao.
“Kahit na makararanas po tayo ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon, may tyansa pa rin po ng mga sandaling pag-ulan sa bansa lalo na sa bandang Visayas at sa Mindanao,” Aurelio said.
At the NAIA station in Pasay City, PAGASA predicted a heat index of 40 degrees Celsius, while the Science Garden in Quezon City was predicted to register 39 degrees.
