Taylor Sheesh Attacked While Performing On Stage
TAYLOR SHEESH – Bayambang, Pangasinan Mayor Nina Jose-Quiambao revealed Taylor Sheesh was hurt by a man during her performance in Bayambang, Pangasinan.
Filipina drag artist Mac Coronel possesses an array of dazzling outfits reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s iconic looks, including the sequin bodysuit from the Lover era, the gold fringe dress from Fearless, and the catsuit from Reputation.
With a devoted following of fans, she commands the stage, eliciting bounces from the crowd, phones held high, as they enthusiastically sing along to every lyric.
However, the star on stage isn’t Taylor Swift herself but Taylor Sheesh, a call center agent turned drag sensation, beloved by Swifties both in the Philippines and abroad.
Her journey to stardom began late last year when Mac Coronel, a die-hard Swift fan who transforms into Sheesh for performances, was unexpectedly invited to perform at a Swift music listening party.
The electrifying performance was captured and shared on social media, sparking widespread interest. When Coronel debuted as Sheesh at a Quezon City shopping mall near Manila in May, an astounding 10,000 spectators showed up, according to event organizers.
Videos of the euphoric performance, featuring fans passionately belting out lyrics, quickly went viral online, enabling Coronel to take an indefinite leave from her call center job and embark on a nationwide tour.
In one of her recent tours, Taylor Sheesh was hurt by a man during her performance. She was invited to perform at Bayambang, Pangasinan fiesta. The town’s mayor is former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) star Niña Jose-Quiambao.
“This is traumatic. Literally. I’m sharing rn,” said Mac.
Niña also took to social media to air her frustration on the unsettling incident. She wrote, “I will not tolerate homophobia and physical abuse in my town. I will make sure that JUSTICE will be dealt with. I am sorry to Taylor Sheesh that someone assaulted her during her performance! Don’t worry. Authorities have the person in question and this matter and incident will be dealt with accordingly. BYB is a peaceful and safe town and I CaNNot CONDONE this stupidious act! I am so mad and so angry!!!! SHAME on YOU!!!!”
