Although Egypt is not totally one of those in the list of no visa countries, aside from its unique culture, it has the best places that only awaits your visit. It is the home to the world’s famous Pyramids of Giza and the Nile. It would be a great experience to cruise at the historical Nile River.

Egypt allows the entry of nationals from specific countries even without a visa for stays that are up to 90 days. If you are coming from these nations, you don’t need to prepare the requirements for Egypt Visa application and go through the process:

  • Bahrain
  • Hong Kong
  • Kuwait
  • Lebanon
  • Macao
  • Oman
  • Saudi Arabia
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  • Malaysia

There are additional exemptions for Egyptian Visa under certain cases such as the following:

  • Afghanistan – for aged 50 and over or 16 years old and below
  • Algeria – for individuals below 14 years old
  • China – provided you have a round-trip ticket, a reservation in a 4 or 5-star hotel, and USD 2000
  • Libya – women and residents of the Butnan District on Sundays and Mondays
  • Jordan – individuals with an ordinary 5-year passport which is not stamped by the Jordanian Registration Office on the back cover
  • Lebanon – individuals who are aged 50 and above or 16 years old and below
  • Morocco – for individuals who are 14 years old and below
  • Sudan – for female nationals and for aged 50 and over or 16 years old and below
  • South Sudan – individuals who are aged 50 years and above or 16 years old and below or you are a female national
  • Tunisia – for individuals aged 14 years old and below
  • Yemen – only if you are 50 years old and above or aged 16 and below or you are traveling for medical purposes
  • Palestine – if you have a travel document issued by Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, or Syria and you are 40 years old and above or under 18 years old

If you are visiting Egypt for tourism and you are not coming from the any countries on the list of exempted nations, you need to prepare the requirements for Egypt Visa application process. Here are the documents that you will need to apply for a Tourist Visa:

  • two (2) copies of duly-accomplished and signed Egyptian Visa application forms
  • two (2) passport-size photos
    • taken recently
    • 2inch x 2inch in size
    • in white background
  • passport
    • valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry to Egypt
    • at least two (2) blank pages
  • two (2) photocopies of the personal information page of your passport
  • proof of return or round-trip flight tickets
  • proof of accommodation in Egypt
  • proof of payment of visa fee

In case your are traveling to Egypt for business purposes, you need to also present a letter of invitation from your company host. If you applied for a Visa on Arrival, you will get your document upon your arrival at the airport. If you applied through the Egypt Embassy in Manila, it will take at least 10 working days since you submitted all the requirements for Egypt Visa application before the result is out.
