PAGASA Says ITCZ to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE: The state weather bureau reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rain to parts of the country.
On Monday (September 18, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao. Luzon and Visayas are expected to have generally fair weather, but overcast skies and rain are possible.
Possible flash floods or landslides may result from moderate to heavy rains.
Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, coastal water conditions across the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.
PAGASA is not monitoring any weather disturbances inside or outside of the Philippine area of responsibility, and no cyclones are expected to develop within the next two to three days.
