Dad Shares Misunderstanding w/ Child: “Gulay hindi Sandok”

Dad Flexes Simple Misunderstanding w/ His Child

A certain dad has shared a humorous misunderstanding involving his child’s simple request, “Gulay hindi Sandok.”

In the age of instant communication and text messaging, misunderstandings can happen to the best of us, even when it comes to simple requests from our loved ones.

A Facebook user named Jeg Alix shared a photo of himself proudly displaying the ladle he had purchased. The post quickly spread like wildfire on social media, eliciting various reactions from the online community.

Alix received a message from his child while he was at work, with the request to buy ‘Pang-Halo’. He assumed that his child needed a ladle for cooking or mixing something. Without a second thought, he immediately headed to the market to buy what he believed was a kitchen utensil.

“Nag-chat po ang anak ko dahil ako po ay malapit po sa palengke ang office ko.Tumawag ang anak ko sabi ‘Daddy, pakibili ako ng pang-halo,'”Alix said.

Jeg handed his child what he thought was the requested “sandok” as he arrived home. He was met with confusion as the youngster began searching for vegetables instead. It was then that he realized his hilarious mistake. His child had actually asked for vegetables, not a kitchen ladle.

“Naisip ko sandok, pagbigay ko sa anak ko, hinahanap ang gulay,” he added.

The man found humor in the situation and recounted how he initially misunderstood the request. He even playfully noted that his child refrained from calling him “t*nga” because he was their father.
