Tropical Depression Ineng has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It is moving northward slowly, and no tropical cyclone wind signals have been raised.

Ineng will directly affect the country’s weather but will slightly enhance the southwest monsoon. The enhanced habagat will bring occasional monsoon rains over the western portions of Luzon within the next three days.

The trough of Ineng will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, and Isabela. The southwest monsoon will bring monsoon rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan.

The monsoon is also expected to bring occasional rains with possible flooding or landslides over Metro Manila, the rest of the Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro due to moderate to heavy rains.

Cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Luzon. The monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern and western sections of Luzon will be rough. Moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, according to PAGASA.
