Sandara Park talked about being in an all-girl K-Pop group
Korean celebrity Sandara Park, who is also known as the Philippines’ Pambansang Krung-krung, admitted that she was not able to save money after the popular all-girl K-Pop group 2NE1 disbanded.
Sandara started her showbiz journey in the Philippines. She was the first-ever winner of the Star Circle Quest in 2004, the reality talent search of ABS-CBN. Then, she went back to South Korea.
She was launched as one of the members of 2NE1. They had massive success not just in South Korea but in other parts of the globe.
However, that success only lasted for a few years. Eventually, 2NE1 disbanded and this affected Sandara Park so much. In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, the Korean celebrity revealed that she is consciously staying away from watching music shows and being familiar with the new K-Pop groups.
“I look calm because a lot of time has passed. But I used to cry my eyes out for several years after we disbanded. Though I’m quiet and shy, I didn’t get depressed or anything after we disbanded. I was trying to enjoy life, but I did get insomnia and social phobia after we disbanded back then,” she shared.
Sandara shared that she would tear up if she watches music shows or popular bands nowadays.
She also made a comment on people saying that she is one of the richest female performers in the entertainment industry. The Korean celebrity shared that even people close to him would wonder why she can still afford to buy expensive stuff despite being inactive in the K-Pop scene.
“I almost got angry. I didn’t work a lot locally but I did a lot of commercials overseas. I was consistently making good money and people looked down on me and all back then. I was a bit angry. I want to go shopping with the money I made. However, I failed to invest, totally,” Sandara said.
Despite the success that 2NE1 had, she said that she was not able to save money or have some investments. However, even though she has a lot of endorsements, she admitted that she has still no investment. She said that she wants to change this.
“Not a single investment, I don’t even save. I should now,” Sandara Park said and then, laughed.
