Missing Cop Found Dead Floating in Lanao del Sur River
Authorities found the missing cop lifeless and floating in the Lanao del Sur river and nine policemen were relieved after being accused of being involved.
In connection with the death of a colleague, whose body was discovered floating in a river in Wao, Lanao del Sur, nine police officers were dismissed from their duties. The accused officers are now in the custody of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-10.
The nine officers, who are all people of interest in the death of their colleague, Patrolman Jeffrey Dabuco, have all been disarmed. Patrolman Lunnel Dapar, Corporals Robert Jun Singcay, Neil Magria, Ivan James Prado, and Ilustrisimo are all assigned to the 2nd platoon 1004th detachment in Kalilangan, Bukidnon.
Based on the report, Dabuco’s body was discovered floating in the Maradugao River in Panang, Wao, Lanao del Sur on Tuesday. The man went missing on June 23 and was last seen alive with his coworkers drinking inside their detachment.
According to PMaj. Merlin M. Macawili, chief of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, emerged from the results of the medico legal Asphyxia’ or lost air as the cause of the victim’s death. The investigation is still ongoing in order to determine the true cause of the victim’s death and provide justice.
