Food Vlogger Faces Backlash After Expressing Dissatisfaction w/ Catering Service She Hired for Event
A popular food vlogger found herself at the center of social media attention after expressing dissatisfaction with a catering service she hired for an event on June 3, 2023.
A Facebook user named Le A Lyn accused Cachas Catering Services, owned by vlogger Jean Cacho, of failing to deliver the promised quality service and claimed that the food served was a far cry from their agreement.
Lyn complained that the barbeque served was overly salty, that some items from the original menu were missing, and that the catering staff was eating when they were supposed to be serving the guests.
“Yung BBQ mo sobrang alat literal na asin. Botcha pa at mabaho ang meat. 37 pcs nga lang young stick ng BBQ mo. Ano yun magic kasya sa 50 pax. Tapos charge mo samin 66 pax for 480 per head pero below 50 lang talaga ang nakapunta,” Cacho stated.
What’s even worse is that the catering staff ate before the guests did, even at the open bar. They were the only ones who drank. As a result, the guests ran out of ice. The employees only served 50 drinks, and even wanted to take home the leftovers, according to Lyn.
Apart from Lyn, another netizen claiming to have previously worked with Cacho shared their own negative experience with the food vlogger.
“1am na nakauwi kasi nagyaya kapa uminom, pinaambag mo pa kami kahit d naman kami umiinom, Tapos ang bngay mo lang na sweldo samin e 420 dba? ang pinakain mo lang sa staff mo, pancit at sunog na fried siomai, tsk tsk. grabe ka po.” netizen Renzel Lugtu said.
