Anjo Yllana has a new job
Actor Anjo Yllana made revelations about his fellow celebrities Jinggoy Estrada and Robin Padilla, who are both serving as Senators after winning in the 2022 elections.
Anjo is not a newbie in the world of politics. He served as a councilor in Quezon City. The actor also served as Vice Mayor from 2004 to 2007. Currently, he is working in the Senate and this is because of Sen. Jinggoy.
Based on the article in Bandera, Anjo personally asked for help from Sen. Jinggoy because of the lack of showbiz engagements these past few months.
Sen. Jinggoy did not hesitate to help Anjo Yllana. Right now, the latter is working at the lawmaker’s office. Anjo shared that while waiting for showbiz projects, he needs a job in order to support his daily expenses.
“Nag-apply ako kay Senator Jinggoy. Sabi ko, ‘Sen, wala akong trabaho, baka naman puwede.’ E, mga dalawang linggo, tinanggap na niya ako,” Anjo revealed.
Since he is an employee in the Senate, he needs to go to work every day. Aside from the job that Sen. Jinggoy gave to him, Anjo is also thankful that this became a way that he would be able to see Senator Robin again.
To recall, Anjo and Robin were entangled in a controversy back in 1993, and their families got involved as well. Anjo recalled that it was really chaotic at that time. However, he said that they have addressed this issue a long time ago already and that they were civil to each other.
Anjo Yllana was not expecting that the “civil” treatment toward each other will change. “Pero nu’ng nagkita kami sa Senado… sabi niya sa akin, ‘Tol, tumakbo ka nang senador.’ Sabi ko, ‘Hindi, pang-local lang ako, hindi ako pang-national.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi, mahal ka ng mga tao, tumakbo ka,'” he shared.
Anjo said that he was happy when Robin said that because the latter saw that he is close to people’s hearts. “Ngayon mag-best friend na kami. Sobrang naramdaman ko yung pagmamahal ni Robin. Tuwang-tuwa ako kay Senator Robin Padilla, napakabait,” he said, adding that the Senator is so sweet, smart, and hard working.
