Ex-EB Dabarkads Anjo Yllana Admits Begging for TV5 Network to Give Him Work
Former Eat Bulaga Dabarkads host Anjo Yllana admitted that he has been begging the TV5 network to give him work.
In an interview during the mediacon, former Eat Bulaga host and councilor Anjo Yllana admitted that he didn’t receive an offer to join part of TV5’s new program ‘Team A Happy Fam, Happy Life. Anjo said that he pleaded with TV5 management to hire him.
According to him, he hasn’t grown picky about roles as long as he has a job. He also revealed that despite signing a contract with Viva last year, he still does not have a project.
“Ito kasi, hindi in-offer sa’kin. Nagmakaawa ako dito kasi wala akong trabaho. Sabi ko kasi sa Viva, nag-sign kasi ako sa Viva last year e wala pa akong project.” Anjo revealed.
“Sabi ko, “kahit ano naman, tatay roles”.” he added in the interview.
Anjo rose to prominence after appearing on Eat Bulaga as one of the hosts. From 1998 to 2020, Anjo was a part of the longest-running noontime show.
In a social media post, the comedian announced his departure from Eat Bulaga and disclosed that he will host another noontime show on Net 25. Nevertheless, Anjo’s show on Net 25 ceased after only one year.
He ran for Tinambac, Camarines Sur’s representative in 2022, but dropped out owing to health and financial difficulties. Meanwhile, on Team A Happy Fam, Happy Life, the former Eat Bulaga presenter will play Jerald’s father. It will be broadcast on Saturday, March 18 at 9:30 p.m.
