PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (April 13, 2023)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Amang is moving in a west-northwest direction.
On Thursday (April 13, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Depression Amang will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that eight areas in Luzon remained under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 as Tropical Depression Amang moved in the west northwest direction.
Here is the list of areas under signal no. 1:
- Camarines Norte
- Northwestern portion of Camarines Sur
- Eastern portion of Laguna
- Northern and eastern portions of Quezon including Polillo Islands
- Eastern portion of Rizal
- Eastern portion of Bulacan
- Eastern portion of Nueva Ecija
- Central and southern portions of Aurora
Amang has been last spotted over vicinity of Vinzons, Camarines Norte. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
“Yung mga kaulapan is concentrated pa rin dun sa labas nung sentro ng bagyo, particularly sa western at northern portions ng Bagyong Amang so makakaranas tayo ng pag-ulan dito sa malaking bahagi ng Cagayan Valley, as well as Central Luzon, NCR, Calabarzon, and mga kalapit na lugar dito sa Mimaropa,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over western seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon will be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
The weather disturbance is expected to weaken into a low-pressure area today.
