Guide on Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan Interest 2026
PAG-IBIG MULTI-PURPOSE LOAN INTEREST 2026 – Here are very important details that you should know before applying for the Fund’s cash loan offer.
In the Philippines, one of the largest state-run institutions with millions of members is the Pag-IBIG Fund. Unlike the social insurance giants GSIS and SSS, its membership is open not only to government employees but also to those in the private sector.

The Pag-IBIG Fund also welcomes self-employed individuals, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and voluntary members. To keep an account active, a member must regularly remit monthly contributions. An updated account ensures access to the Fund’s various benefits.
Among its loan programs, the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan has remained the most popular for decades. However, the Fund also offers the Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL), more commonly known as the Pag-IBIG cash loan.

The Pag-IBIG cash loan can be used for a wide range of needs. Members may apply to cover expenses such as travel, personal purchases, business expansion, education, or utility bills. Loan proceeds can be released in as fast as two (2) working days.

The Fund allows borrowing up to 80% of a member’s total Pag-IBIG Regular Savings. This amount includes the member’s monthly contributions, employer contributions, and accumulated dividends. The loan comes with a low Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan interest rate.
The Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan interest rate is set at 10.5% per annum, with repayment terms of up to 36 months or three (3) years.
Another advantage is the deferred first payment. Loan repayment begins on the second month after the release of proceeds, giving members breathing room before starting payments.
Additionally, part of the Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan interest paid is returned to members through dividends earned on their savings. This loan program is available to locally-employed, self-employed, and OFW members alike.
