Nadia Montenegro Says She Will Always Support Robin Padilla No Matter What
NADIA MONTENEGRO – Amid the criticisms surrounding Senator Robin Padilla, Nadia Montenegro remains one of his strongest supporters and shared why she hopes he finds happiness beyond politics.
Despite the criticism and controversies surrounding Senator Robin Padilla, veteran actress Nadia Montenegro remains unwavering in her support for him. During a recent diamond fashion show, Nadia spoke candidly to selected reporters about her continued loyalty to the senator while also sharing her personal hopes for his future.
According to a report by INQUIRER, Nadia emphasized that her support for Robin has not changed despite the public backlash he continues to receive. However, she admitted that if she were to express one wish for him, it would be for him to find happiness beyond his political career.
“Supportado pa rin. Pero kung ako tatanungin, honestly kahit naman sino magtanong sa akin kahit before pa, pag tinanong ako kung anong gusto ko para sa kanya, gusto ko ma-enjoy niya ang life niya outside politics,” the actress said.
Nadia also dismissed the idea that online criticism significantly affects Robin, saying the senator has long been accustomed to being in the spotlight. She explained that even during the time she worked in his office, Robin would frequently become a trending topic over even the smallest issues.
“Naku, manhid na ‘yun sa ganon, sanay na sanay na ’yun. Noong time pa lang nasa office ako ni Sen. Robin, ika nga eh konting kibot lang, trending na,” she shared.
When asked whether she would continue supporting Robin should he decide to run again in the 2028 elections, Nadia did not hesitate to express her commitment.
“Anything na makakatulong ako or anything he will need sakin, personal o hindi, nandyan ako para sa kanya,” she said.
Despite her willingness to help the senator, Nadia clarified that she has no intention of returning to work in his office.
“Hindi ako babalik sa opisina. Kasi wala pa akong ginagawa na ganoon na ako. Ayoko na. Nothing can convince me,” she stressed.
It can be recalled that last year, Nadia resigned from her position as political affairs officer under the office of Robin’s chief of staff after she became involved in allegations that she had allegedly lit marijuana inside the Senate building.
The actress also revealed that she and Robin had the chance to talk during the screening of “Bad Boy 3” in June. According to Nadia, they were able to clear everything up, and any misunderstandings or issues between them have already been resolved. Their conversation reaffirmed the strong friendship they have maintained despite the challenges and controversies they have both faced in recent years.
