NINOY AQUINO – The grandson of the late former Senator, civic leader Kiko Dee, filed a complaint against former Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano before the Ombudsman.
Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa is still in the large amid the pending arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against him. The Senator is accused as one of the alleged co-perpetrator of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in the war against drugs.

Previously, dela Rosa appeared at the Senate after six months of hiding. He voted for the ouster of former Senate Pres. Tito Sotto and the election of now-former SP Alan Peter Cayetano. He claimed that it was then-Senate minority leader Cayetano who contacted him for the session.
Shortly after the change of Senate leadership, Sen. Bato dela Rosa had gone hiding again after a controversial shooting incident inside the Senate. Sen. Robin Padilla admitted that he was with Dela Rosa when the Senator exited the Senate premises at the height of the situation.

Padilla further claimed that he will not tell the whereabouts of Dela Rosa even if he knows where the Senator is. The remarks of the Duterte-known ally earned him criticisms and even called for complaints against him.
An obstruction to justice complaint also floated against Padilla. Dela Rosa is currently considered a “fugitive” from the law after the Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed that the ICC arrest warrant against him is valid.

A lot of happenings transpired in the Senate in the recent weeks. Following the exit of Sen. Bato dela Rosa from the chamber’s premises amid a pending ICC arrest warrant, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada was arrested, the then-majority senators skipped three (3) Senate sessions, a change of leadership took place, and many more.
