Authorities Arrest 2 Men After Breaking Into House in Quezon City
Two men were arrested after allegedly breaking into a house in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City, during the first week of June.
According to police, the burglary happened on June 4 while the homeowner was out of the country. The crime remained undiscovered for two days until a relative who was staying in the Philippines visited the property and noticed that several household items were missing.
Security camera footage showed two men standing outside the house before one of them forcibly damaged the gate lock to gain entry. After getting inside, they reportedly took several valuable items, including a television, an air conditioner, and other belongings.

The suspects were later seen carrying the items out of the property one by one. After receiving the report, police officers launched a follow-up operation to track down those responsible.
The investigation led them to two suspects identified only by the aliases Victor and Kevin. The suspects were arrested on June 7 in the same barangay where the burglary took place.
Authorities said they received information from a tipster about a man trying to sell items that matched the description of the stolen property. Police officers then conducted an undercover operation by posing as interested buyers.
Once they confirmed that the items being offered for sale were the same ones taken from the house, the officers immediately identified themselves and arrested the suspects.
During the operation, alias Victor allegedly attempted to pull out a firearm after realizing that the buyers were actually police officers. However, authorities were able to stop him before the situation escalated.
Police recovered all of the stolen items as well as a firearm found in the suspects’ possession. Investigators also discovered that alias Kevin had previously been linked to an illegal drug case in 2019.
The two men are now facing robbery and Anti-Fencing Law charges. Alias Victor will also face an additional charge for illegal possession of a firearm. Police continue to remind homeowners who plan to travel for an extended period to ask trusted relatives or neighbors to regularly check their properties.
