Female Business Owner in Kalibo Slams Male Job Applicant for Showing Private Part During Job ApplicationÂ
A female business owner in Kalibo, Aklan has reported a disturbing incident after a man who applied for a job allegedly showed his private part during a video call.
The business owner identified only as alias Sharmaine, 36 years old, said she had posted a hiring announcement on a Facebook group a day earlier to find additional staff for her shop.
Shortly after posting, a man identified as Daniel Feliciano allegedly expressed interest in applying for the job through a message comment. At first, the business owner did not immediately respond, but two days later she accepted the message request and instructed him to proceed to the shop if he was serious about applying.
According to the complaint, the situation changed when the man later contacted her again and requested a video call. Thinking it was part of the application process, Sharmaine agreed to the call.
However, instead of a proper conversation, she was allegedly met with inappropriate behavior on camera.
Sharmaine said she was shocked when the man appeared without proper clothing and exposed himself during the call. The man reportedly tried to adjust the camera using his hand, but the angle still showed his actions clearly. Overcome with shock, she immediately ended the call.
The business owner decided to report the incident to the Kalibo Municipal Police Station, because of fear and anger over what happened. She also expressed that she was no longer able to take screenshots due to her surprise during the encounter.
Authorities are now looking into the complaint, and the victim said she is prepared to file a case once the man is properly identified. She also shared the incident as a warning to other business owners, especially women, to be extra careful when dealing with online job applicants and video call requests.
The Kalibo police are expected to take appropriate action as the investigation continues.
