BINI in Coachella: Members Speak About Experience Performing In Coachella

Here’s what the BINI members said about their Coachella experience.

Nation’s girl group BINI members impressed the Coachella crowd, and these are their statements about their historical experience.

The Philippines, along with fellow P-Pop artists, celebrated BINI’s historic debut at Coachella on Saturday. Representing the country on the global stage, the group captivated the crowd with a dynamic 42-minute set, blending high-energy dance tracks, infectious pop, and proudly homegrown hits.

They took the stage on Friday, April 10, from 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM (US time), which translates to 7:15 AM on Saturday, April 11, in the Philippines. On the same day, they were also part of a wider lineup at Coachella, sharing the spotlight with artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Swae Lee, KATSEYE, and several other performers across multiple stages.

After their historical performance as the first Filipino act on the famed music festival, they shared their reflections about their experience and journey. They are still in disbelief after achieving a major milestone in their career

The moment still feels surreal, but it was a dream they had long hoped to achieve. Despite the pressure and global attention, BINI delivered a high-energy performance, a mix of their signature hits and fresh tracks that lasted for 42 minutes.

It showed their musical versatility and the growing influence of P-pop on the international scene.

“Yung mga pinagplanuhan po namin ng ilang buwan, pinaghirapan namin, and yung sacrifices namin for this performance, parang sarap sa puso, na talagang we did our best and naramdaman namin yung suporta ng mga Pinoy, and I hope nagpakilala kami talaga sa buong mundo,” Maloi said.

Sheena admitted the group couldn’t help but worry about the turnout, especially given their early set time and the desert heat. They even checked their phones backstage, wondering if anyone would show up.

But things turned out better, as she expressed, “We just can’t believe na ganun kadaming tao yung nag-abang sa amin. And dahil sa nakita naming crowd, mas lalo pang tumaas ‘yung confidence namin. Mas nagkaroon kami ng lakas sa buong show.”

Colet, in particular, was amazed to see not just Filipino fans but also international audiences vibing to their music, while Gwen expressed relief that the tricky transition went smoothly during their quick onstage outfit change, which was among the highlights of their performance.

Stacey described the moment as surreal, recalling how they started from humble beginnings and worked their way to a global stage. Jhoanna, on the other hand, added that the crowd’s energy helped push her through and made the experience even more fulfilling.
