Kapamilya actress Belle Mariano shared how she handles criticism on social media.
Belle has come a long way since her younger years in the entertainment industry. From being a teen star, she is now one of the most popular young actresses, with various projects.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Belle said she filters online comments about her.
The young actress shared that she would take constructive criticism from social media comments and use them as a tool to prepare for her roles.
On the other hand, Belle Mariano said that she would ignore the negative. She admitted that feedback helps her improve as an actress.
“I have read some and parang paano ko iibahin yung role kong next. I reflect, sometimes if it matters like parang dini-differentiate ko na yung mga kapag troll iyan or bashers, hayaan mo na sila or if it’s someone na genuine yung comment, that’s what I take into heart and I reflect on it,” she shared.
Belle will star in the upcoming film with her onscreen partner, actor Donny Pangilinan, where she will take on a new role. Even after spending several years in the entertainment industry, Belle admitted that she still gets nervous.
“May kaba pa rin as in right now we are gonna do Tayo Sa Wakas with Donny, parang kabado talaga kasi syempre, the struggle is you want to differentiate your characters from one another. Matakot ka kapag wala na yung kaba,” she said.
The actress believed that reading comments on social media can be helpful, but she emphasized what should be taken seriously.
Belle Mariano said that there are two sides, and social media is like a double-edged sword. She stressed that it is important to learn how to differentiate what’s good for you and what’s not.
The actress also shared that she does not let her life outside showbiz to be affected by the negativity. “I value my time with my family, my friends, and yung supporters namin ni Donny,” she emphasized.
