Couple Kiray Celis and Stephan Estopia tied the knot before 2025 ended. It was as magical and fairytale-like as she dreamed it would be.
Kiray and Stephan exchanged vows at the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, with a lavish reception held afterward at the nearby Sheraton Manila Hotel. From the very beginning, Kiray envisioned feeling like a princess on her special day. This dream heavily influenced her choice of wedding outfits, all of which shared one defining feature: intricate detailing.
The couple is very open about their relationship, fulfilling the curiosity of many. However, this kind of openness also paved the way for controversies to spark and speculations to be ignited.
Recently, during an interview, Kiray recalled encountering a remark that asked, “Ano ba ang ambag ng asawa mo?”
It was a question that seemed to imply that her partner had little to offer, considering her success and celebrity status. Rather than taking offense, Kiray admitted that the comment made her reflect on how others perceive their relationship.
She addressed the negative comment questioning her husband’s role and contribution to their relationship.
With honesty, there was a point where she felt as though she was the one lacking contribution, especially after witnessing her husband, Stephan, doing simple yet meaningful tasks at home.
She witnessed him cleaning and helping with household chores, and she believed that this spoke volumes about his character and love for her.
Rather than emphasizing material contributions, Kiray underscored that her husband’s efforts extend beyond what is immediately visible. She stressed that acts of service, kindness, and sincere care are equally, if not more, valuable than financial gains or public recognition.
“Parang… akala kasi nila, parang siguro yung iniisip nilang walang ambag, sa pera siguro. Pero siyempre malaking bagay na hindi rin naman kaya ng pera ko po noon. Kasi lahat ng pera ko, na kina Mama at Papa noon,” she said.
