Authorities Arrest Woman Running Fake Notary Service in Store
A woman operating an illegal notary service inside her small store in Las Piñas City was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by authorities.
The illegal service was discovered after a lawyer learned that his name and signature were being used without his consent on several documents.
The victim, a practicing lawyer, sought help after he started receiving notices related to estafa cases that he had no connection to. The situation became more serious when his notarial privileges were affected because of the misuse of his identity.

It caused damage not only to his reputation but also to his ability to perform his work.
Investigators later found that the suspect had been offering notary services both in her store and online. She presented herself as someone connected to lawyers, making it easier to gain the trust of clients.
Using fake documents, stamps, and a printer, she created papers that appeared legitimate at first glance.

Authorities tracked the location of the operation in a neighborhood in Las Piñas. During the operation, the suspect admitted that she acted as a notary agent and claimed that lawyers had instructed her.
“Notary agent ako, inutusan ako ng mga abogado,” the suspect said.
However, several tools used to produce fake documents were recovered in the scene, including mobile phones, a printer, and a seal.
Officials explained that proper notarization follows strict rules. Clients must personally appear before a licensed lawyer, present valid identification, and take an oath. These steps were clearly ignored in the suspect’s activities.
The woman is now facing multiple charges related to forgery and illegal operations. Additional complaints may also be filed due to her use of online platforms to promote the service.
