Fire Victims Criticize Relief Goods Given by Senator Bong Go

The relief goods provided by Senator Bong Go to fire victims along NIA Road, Barangay Pinyahan was criticized after it was found to contain cardboard fillers.

Recently, a Facebook user named Jesus Falcis shared a video showing fire victims in NIA Road, Barangay Pinyahan expressing disappointment over the aid from Senator Bong Go. The post quickly went viral and drew various reactions online.

Some fire victims in Quezon City expressed disappointment after receiving relief goods following a recent fire incident in Barangay Pinyahan.

The aid was reportedly distributed along NIA Road, where several families were affected by the fire. Many residents had to line up for several hours, with some waiting as long as five to eight hours just to receive assistance.

Despite the long wait, some recipients felt let down upon checking the contents of the relief items.

According to those present, the aid package came in a plastic pail containing food supplies. However, several recipients noticed that the container appeared full at first glance but actually had cardboard placed inside to take up space.

Because of this, they felt that the amount of food inside was smaller than expected.

Some netizens sympathized with the victims, saying that aid should be given sincerely, especially to those who have just lost their homes and belongings. Others reminded the public that any form of help is still valuable, even if it may not meet expectations.

The assistance was reportedly linked to Bong Go, although there has been no official statement released regarding the concerns raised in the video.

“Oh my, budol-budol gang pala. Yan ang number one Senator last year?

Akala ko tatay mo karton lang yun pala pati ayuda mo karton,” the caption reads.
