Joaquin Arce spoke about the negative reactions against him
Celebrity Joaquin Arce, after finishing as the Third Big Placer of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, Joaquin Arce, during his Quezon City thanksgiving party, addressed the online bashing he received.
Joaquin is the son of businessman Neil Arce and his former partner. Neil’s wife, A-list actress Angel Locsin has been very supportive also of Joaquin’s PBB stint. The actress even broke her social media hiatus to express her support for her stepson.
After the season finale, Joaquin expressed how grateful he was for the support he received from his stepmom. He was touched by how Angel defended him online.
Despite the wave of bashing, the rising actor opened up about his personal strategies for handling criticism and maintaining his focus amid the noise of his newfound fame, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment.
He does not immediately react upon reading a negative comment. Joaquin would ponder how he could take it objectively, and if what was said about him was true.
“Well, for the comments that I’ve seen, honestly, I look at everything in an objective perspective na gusto ko talaga mag-improve as a person. That’s just me. So, when I see something like that, like a criticism, I listen to it. In a way na, okay, is this true? Is this objectively true? How can I take it in?” Joaquin Arce shared.
The newbie showbiz personality is also thankful for everyone who supported and defended him against negative comments on social media.
“May mga nang-de-defend naman sa akin, so it’s like, ‘Oh no, he’s not like that’ which I also am grateful for kasi tama din sila. So, if you look at it from both sides, it’s really, you know, kind of agreeable. You’d understand both sides,” he said.
Joaquin Arce also expressed how overwhelming it was when his supporters showed up and celebrated with him during his Thanksgiving party. He admitted that he did not expect and he couldn’t be more thankful.
