Christopher de Leon shared that being part of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo for three years is a rollercoaster ride for him, and he enjoyed every minute of it. “My role was the best,” the veteran actor said.

He enjoyed portraying the role of a gangster. This was not his first time doing this kind of role, but he stressed that his character Ramon was different because he was the leader of a syndicate dealing with drugs, but his own child, Tanggol, played by Coco, rebuked him.

Christopher reminisced about how he had so much fun with the cast and crew during taping. He also highlighted the support and care he got from everyone on the set, and because of this, he considers them his family.

The veteran actor also shared his greatest takeaways from the series. With the directing style of Coco, the script and lines are being memorized right there and then. He also witnessed how other actors approached their roles and their acting styles.

Christopher de Leon also shared his thoughts on Coco. “Napaka-humble. He’s very serious with his work, he’s almost like a genius kung makikita mo siya sa set, if you just listen to him. I’ve been in the business for almost like 40 plus years,” he said.

The veteran actor also said that he has never seen a person like Coco who still thinks of even the dialogue of the characters.
