SUV Drove by 6-Year-Old, Plows Into Stalls on Session Road
A 6-year-old boy accidentally moved a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and plowed into stalls on session road in Baguio City.
On March 4, 2026, the incident happened along Father Carlu Street while the Panagbenga Festival was being celebrated in the city. The area was busy with people visiting the festival and passing through the popular street.
The driver left the vehicle parked and stepped away for a while, leaving his six-year-old child inside. Authorities said the engine of the SUV was turned off, and the handbrake was applied when the driver left the vehicle.

However, the child inside the vehicle was able to move the handbrake. Because the road was sloping, the SUV slowly rolled down the street. As it moved downhill, the vehicle crashed into several stalls set up along the roadside.
Witnesses said the vehicle continued rolling until one of its wheels hit a gutter along the side of the road, which eventually stopped it from moving further. The incident caused damage to some stalls in the area and created panic among nearby vendors and customers.
Three people were reportedly injured during the incident. The injured individuals included a stall owner, a worker, and a customer who happened to be nearby when the vehicle crashed. They were given assistance after the accident.
Fortunately, the child inside the vehicle was not hurt during the incident. Authorities said the situation could have been worse if the vehicle had continued rolling further down the busy street.
After the accident, the owner of the SUV immediately reached out to the victims and to the owners of the damaged stalls.
The social media users expressed their reactions to the incident:
