NBI issued a subpoena in the case filed against Michelle Dee
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) officially issued subpoenas to Kapuso actresses Michelle Dee and Rhian Ramos, and their friend Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio on February 25, 2026, concerning complaints filed by a former driver.
Bonifacio Baro, Rhian’s former driver and personal assistant, filed a complaint against the three female celebrities, claiming that he was tortured and illegally detained for allegedly stealing an ang pao containing sensitive images.
Michelle, Rhian, and Samantha vehemently denied the allegations against them. Previously, Michelle filed a cyber libel case against social media personality Xian Gaza for his “malicious” post regarding this issue, as well as against several social media pages. Rhian also planned to file complaints against defamatory statements.

On Wednesday, Michelle Dee’s legal counsel confirmed that they received a subpoena in response to complaints filed by Baro.
In a statement released by Atty. Maggie Garduque, Michelle’s lawyer, stated that they will comply with the subpoena and will subpoena Michelle’s sworn statement regarding the complaint of Rhian’s former driver.
Then, Garduque said that Rhian’s former driver had already received the subpoena of the Office of the City Prosecutor of Manila regarding the qualified theft case that Michelle filed.

Early this February, Michelle refiled the qualified theft complaint against Bonifacio Baro. It was reported that the ang pao containing 10 items was returned, but only 9 items were left.
Atty. Garduque also said that Rhian’s former driver only has until March 3 to submit his counter affidavit, and if this is not fulfilled, the fiscal will submit the case for resolution. Michelle Dee’s camp is hoping that justice will finally be served.
“We are hoping that justice will finally be attained by Michelle in this case on the unlawful taking of alyas “Totoy” of her personal property to her extreme damage and prejudice,” Atty. Garduque said.
