Man Arrested for Taking Video of Minor While Bathing Inside Bathroom
A man was arrested after he was caught secretly recording a minor while she was bathing inside a bathroom in Kalibo.
Recently, the Facebook page of Radyo Todo Aklan 88.5 FM reported the incident. Many netizens expressed anger and concern over the incident, especially because the victim is still underage.
Based on the information gathered, the suspect is reportedly the son of a tenant living in the same area. While the young girl was taking a bath, she noticed a cellphone slowly being pushed through the small gap under the bathroom door.
The camera flash was turned on, making it obvious that someone was trying to record her without her knowledge.
Feeling scared and violated, the girl quickly called for help. Adults in the house immediately checked and confirmed what was happening. The matter was reported to the authorities, who responded without delay. Police officers conducted an operation that led to the immediate arrest of the suspect.
The young victim reportedly suffered emotional trauma because of the incident. Instead of feeling safe inside her own home, she experienced fear during a very private moment. Her family is now giving her full support as she tries to recover from the distress.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Kalibo Philippine National Police. Authorities are preparing to file the proper charges against him while the investigation continues.
