Sharon Cuneta reacted to PBBM’s recent visit to Mayor Leni Robredo’s hometown
Megastar Sharon Cuneta had a brave statement on the recent meeting between President Bongbong Marcos and Mayor Leni Robredo in Naga City.
The Chief Executive of the Philippines visited Naga to personally check the “Oplan Kontra Baha” project. To recall, in the 2022 elections, Marcos and Robredo were opponents for the position of president. Four years after their political rivalry, they had little interaction in Robredo’s hometown.
Since this happened after Vice President Sara Duterte declared that she would run for president in the 2028 elections, some people speculated that PBBM’s visit to Naga had a political color. However, reports stated that no political plans were discussed between the two prominent political figures.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, February 22, Sharon Cuneta shared her reaction to PBBM and Mayor Leni’s meeting.
The Megastar pointed out that there was no pretension between the two politicians, and it did not mean switching sides.
“My President Mam Leni @atty.lenirobredo with OUR President, Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. Walang balimbingan o plastikan. Pagpapasalamat lamang sa sumusuporta sa kanyang mahal na lungsod at bayan. Ang balimbing ay iiwan ang tapat na samahan para sa pangsariling kapakanan,” she wrote in her post.
The actress-singer also stressed that those who have compassion will always choose the side of the truth, especially when betrayal happens, and if this was for the sake of the nation.
“Ang plastic ay lahat kinakaibigan para sa sariling kapakanan. Ang sibilisado at disente ay nakikitungo at rumerespeto sa sinumang rumerespeto sa kanya nang hindi sinusuko ang prinsipyo,” she added.
In her next posts, Sharon Cuneta shared the Facebook posts of Atty. Jesus Falcis, who is a known supporter of Mayor Leni Robredo and a critic of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Meanwhile, Sharon’s intriguing statement during the “An Evening with the Stars” event held at the Foro de Intramuros, on February 12, caught netizens’ attention. She said that PBBM made a wrong choice when it came to his VP. Then, she pointed out to her husband, Senator Kiko Pangalinan, who was the opponent of incumbent Sara Duterte.
