Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Expected on Last Week of February

Gas Stations to Impose Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Next Week

FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Several gasoline stations are set to implement mixed oil price adjustments starting next week.

Motorists may see another round of mixed fuel price changes starting (February 24, 2026).

Based on recent trading data, gasoline prices may slightly go down by around P0.45 per liter. Diesel prices, however, are expected to increase by about P0.05 per liter, while kerosene may also rise by P0.10 per liter.

Mixed Oil Price Adjustments

The projected prices are drawn from the four-day trading results in the Mean of Platts Singapore, which serves as the basis for local fuel pricing.

Although the adjustments appear small, they reflect the continued uncertainty in the global oil market. Tensions between major countries are playing a big role in shaping oil prices.

Developments involving the United States and Iran have created concerns about possible supply issues, especially with ongoing discussions related to nuclear agreements. At the same time, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine remains a factor, with reports of attacks near key ports raising fears of disruptions in oil transport.

Instability in the Middle East also adds pressure to prices. The Strait of Hormuz, a major route used for shipping crude oil, remains sensitive to regional tensions. Any threat to this area can increase shipping risks, insurance costs, and overall expenses tied to petroleum products.

Earlier this week, fuel companies already implemented price hikes, with gasoline rising by P1.20 per liter and diesel and kerosene both increasing by P0.60 per liter. Because of this, many drivers are closely watching the next announcement.

Oil companies are set to release their official fuel price adjustments on Monday, with changes taking effect the following day.
