Priscilla Meirelles has revealed that she and her husband, John Estrada, are no longer married, as she confirmed their divorce.
Former beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles has always been vocal about her marital problems with John Estrada ever since they got separated. The issue erupted when Priscilla revealed that John was with Lilly Hallman in Boracay and added that he was “looking like divorced.”
After months of separation, Priscilla revealed that Estrada asked for reconciliation. However, after a long time of fighting for their marriage, she eventually got to the point of being tired. She got exhausted of fighting and giving chances.
Recently, she confirmed that they are now officially divorced. The Brazilian beauty queen confirmed to Tito Boy Abunda that she filed for divorce in Brazil in 2024. He was informed about the divorce last year, which is the reason why he previously expressed that if he could, he would “remarry” her again.
“We are no longer married, which means bilang isang foreigner may karapatan ako to divorce my husband, so last year I went to Brazil and started the process of divorcing him,” Priscilla shared.
She decided to divorce him after 14 years because she no longer sees herself sharing a life with him anymore. With this perspective, the marriage becomes invalid for her. She revealed that he was not happy when she filed it.
“He was not happy. The first sentence he said was ‘Pri, bakit ginawa mo ‘yan?’” she said.
Priscilla added, “And sinabi ko sa kaniya, because as I’ve told you, I don’t see myself sharing a life with you anymore, and I don’t think there’s a reason to stay married to you if I don’t see myself with you as my partner, as my companion. I don’t see a future with you.”
