Tony Labrusca embraces his imperfections
Actor Tony Labrusca admitted in a recent interview that he is not a “perfect celebrity,” and this was his reason behind this statement.
Tony had his big break in showbiz when he starred in the movie Glorious with seasoned actress Angel Aquino. This movie became a trending topic as it tackled a May-December love affair.
With that kind of theme, Tony was somehow stereotyped to sultry roles. He previously said that he did not want to be boxed in this kind of character, and eventually, he was able to see the other side of himself as an actor.
At the early stage of his career, Tony Labrusca was entangled in controversies. Back in 2021, he faced complaints of aggravated acts of lasciviousness and aggravated slight physical injuries.
Fortunately, the actor was able to bounce back. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star. Tony admitted his imperfections. “I will say this — I’m not perfect. I know I’m in showbiz, but this is me. This is my personality,” Tony said.
He apologized that it “does not fit the box of being a perfect celebrity.” The actor stressed that he is not perfect. “I know I’m in showbiz, but this is me and my personality. And I’m sorry if that doesn’t check the box of being a perfect celebrity. I’m really sorry,” the actor said.
He also admitted that he is a bit careless. However, Tony said that he wants to enjoy life. The actor said that he has different ideals and it is not the same as other celebrities who fit in the box, and those who are perfectly mannered and always say the right things.
“I’m human, too. I wanna enjoy life the way I feel like I deserve to. If that’s what gets me into trouble, I’m sorry. But I don’t want to live life knowing I didn’t get to experience these things,” the actor said.
