Veteran talent manager Ogie Diaz has this to say when asked about managing the career of Liza Soberano again.
Earlier this year, Liza Soberano and her former talent manager, Ogie Diaz, reconnected after three years of not speaking to each other. Ogie publicly greeted Liza on her 28th birthday, which received a response from the latter.\
“Ang tatanda na namin. Kumbaga, magtatanim ka ba ng sama ng loob? Once upon a time, naging anak mo ‘yan. Nabigyan ka rin naman ng magandang career because of Liza,” he expressed, as he also recalled how the actress helped him in many ways, especially during the lowest points of his life.
He was happy that she responded. Recently, during an interview on Rated R: The Rico Hizon Podcast, he was asked if he was willing to manage her again. According to him, among the top considerations when it comes to this matter is Liza’s wish. His decision would depend on what Liza wants.
Should she approach him to manage her again, he shared that they would start by discussing the trajectory of her career.
“[I will tell her] kung gusto mo anak, ito pag-uusapan natin. Ito dapat ang baguhin natin, ito dapat ang manatili sa’yo ‘yung hinahanap-hanap nila ng mga fans mo sa’yo dapat ibalik mo, dahil sila rin ang dahilan kung bakit ka sumikat, mga ganyan. Alam ko naman na makakabalik si Liza, kahit hindi ako manager niya,” he said.
On the other hand, he expressed that he completely supports Liza’s Hollywood dream. This is what she wants, which is to be able to break into Hollywood. Diaz went on to admire Liza’s beauty, saying that despite the years, nothing had changed.
