Alessandra de Rossi is happy with her career in the entertainment industry
Award-winning actress Alessandra de Rossi talked about the support she receives from her Italian father Luigi Schiavone for her acting career.
Alessandra started her acting careers doing supporting roles. Eventually, she was casted in “kontrabida” roles, and she received admiration from fans who loved her villain characters.
However, in previous interviews, the actress said that it was her conscious effort for her to stop doing villain roles. She is also choosing the the right project that is aligned with her views and principles.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Alessandra de Rossi shared how proud her father is of her when it comes to her career in the entertainment industry. The actress have received recognition and awards for her projects.
“Proud naman siya sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. Proud talaga siya as in siya ‘yung nagsasabi sa kapitbahay na may palabas akong pelikula. ‘Siya si Alessandra, ‘yung anak ko, nasa Netflix,’ ganun. That’s my dad,” Alessandra said.
She recalled that when she received her first acting award from Pugliesi nel Mondo in 2011, the actress shared that her father was really happy about it.
The award is intended to honor distinguished individuals who were born in or trace their roots to Italy’s Puglia region.
“Proud na proud siya like ‘yung first award ko, ‘yung Pugliesi nel Mondo, ‘yung mga taga-Puglia na nagdadala ng honor, buong region ‘yun. Siyempre di ba, bilang ang tagal na niyang retired, iyon ‘yung mga small wins niya,” the actress shared.
When asked what was the most memorable award that she received, Alessandra said that it was the Urian Best Actress award. It was because she has long been nominated and when she finally got the trophy, it was something that she truly cherished.
This happened during the pandemic, and her acceptance speech was pre-recorded. However, it was so special for her since a lot of people were rooting for her.
“Pero ‘yun special ‘yun kasi ang daming naghintay nun for me. Tapos ‘yung Aktres ng Dekada ng Urian,” Alessandra de Rossi shared.
