Netizen Summoned to Barangay by Person Who Borrowed Money From Him
A male netizen was reportedly brought to the barangay by the person who borrowed money from him after he tried to collect the debt.
Recently, Luoestsol, a Reddit user, shared his experience after allegedly being reported to the barangay by the borrower. The post quickly went viral on social media and drew reactions from the online community.
According to the post, the netizen lent P5,000 to someone he trusted. When he later tried to collect the money, a heated argument broke out between them. The borrower reportedly felt embarrassed during the confrontation and decided to file a barangay complaint against the lender instead.

The netizen was shocked by the move, especially since he and his family had already decided not to pursue the small amount just to avoid trouble.
A few days later, a barangay summon unexpectedly arrived at their home. This caused stress not only for the netizen but also for his family, who are busy managing their daily business. Attending barangay hearings became an added burden, and despite attempts to settle the issue peacefully, the borrower allegedly showed no interest in resolving the matter.
The same borrower reportedly had unpaid debts with several other people, amounting to more than P100,000 pesos. It made the situation feel unfair, especially for someone who only wanted his money returned and did not intend to create conflict.
The post raises discussions online about how some people use the barangay system to delay or avoid paying debts.
