Charo Santos continues to showcase her acting caliber
Award-winning actress Charo Santos revealed her reason for accepting the role in the GL or girls’ love film Until She Remembers.
Over the years, Charo has done remarkable projects that helped her achieve her current status in showbiz. She showed versatility and professionalism that earned respect from her colleagues.
Charo has a new series with her fellow veteran actress Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo. It is the film Until She Remembers film directed by Cannes-winning filmmaker Brillante Mendoza.

The movie featured the girls’ love theme, and it is about a story that follows two women who fell in love at a time when same-gender relationships were not widely accepted. Later in life, they reconnected.
Charo Santos had several reasons why she said yes to this project. One of those was the chance to work with Boots, whom she personally admired, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
It was said that early in 2025, concepts were already being explored regarding this project. Meetings with different producers also took place.
“I also wanted to work with direk Brillante. Alam mo naman ako, I’m always looking for another adventure, another challenge,” Charo shared.

When she had her acting comeback, Charo made sure to take on unconventional roles. Last year, she made the movie Only We Know with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, which tackled a May-December love affair.
With the theme of Until She Remembers, Charo said, “Na-surprise kayo? Ako din, na-surprise!” she jokingly said.
When asked where the idea came from, the former ABS-CBN executive said that Boots suggested it. “Sabi niya, ‘Charo, let’s do a film.’ ‘Of course, Tita Boots!’ sabi ko. That’s on my bucket list. I mean, to be able to finally do a film with your idol,” Charo Santos added.
