Mariel Padilla admitted to being sad about what happened between her and her mother
Showbiz personality Mariel Padilla hoped that “karma” would not come after her because of her relationship with her mother.
Mariel is known in showbiz for her vibrant personality. When she took a break from the entertainment industry, she focused on being a mother to her daughters, Isabella and Gabriella.
She is a very hands-on mom. The former Pinoy Big Brother host would take care of her children’s personal needs and would be there for them when it comes to their school stuff.

Mariel Padilla would fulfill her duty as a mother and as a wife to her husband, Senator Robin Padilla, while still earning money through online selling and vlogging.
In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of veteran journalist Julius Babao, the showbiz personality shared glimpses of her life behind the camera. During the third part of the interview, the topic was about her mom, who passed away in December 2023, based on the article in Bandera.
Julius asked what made Mariel sad. “When I think of my Mom (pinakita ang larawan nina Mariel at mommy niya) ‘Yun talaga Julius, ‘yun ang cross that I will bear for the rest of my life,” the celebrity said.
She also said that just like everybody, she also had issues with her parents, with her mom. Since her mom died all of a sudden, she thought that she would have more time with her.

Mariel admitted that she wasn’t exactly the greatest daughter. “That is the cross that I will bear for the rest of my life,” she said.
In the said interview, Mariel had a hard time explaining the dynamics between her and her mother when they were together because she probably didn’t grow up with the woman who gave birth to her.
The celebrity grew up with her maternal grandparents, who are still with her to this day. “I hope that she forgives me and ‘yun ‘yung dasal ko and then kinakatakukan ko na kasi naniniwala ako sa karma eh. Hindi sana ako karmahin one day, ‘yung mga kids ko sana hindi kami magkaroon ng ganu’n relationship kasi hindi kami ganu’n always (magkasundo) ng mom ko,” Mariel said.

She admitted that the hardest thing to bear is regret. Mariel said that it is a burden for her that she would just carry because she can’t fix it. She also hoped that she could have just understood and let this go.
Mariel Padilla also admitted that when her mother passed away, they weren’t okay.
“No, hindi. In fact ‘yung time na (hindi sila okay), seasonal ang galit ng mom ko. Nu’ng time na namatay siya, ako ‘yung…it was my season like my pictures were down in her house. She took my pictures down yeah ‘yung ganu’n, season ko,” the celebrity shared.
This was the reason why she would always tell people that if they have a chance to make up, they should grab it. For her, one should weigh what is more important, the fight you have or the reconciliation and relationship between both parties.
