Recently, on Instagram, she shared a deeply personal chapter of her motherhood journey about their son, Aljur Jr. She opened up about fear, faith, and strength that marked his arrival.
In the post, she shared a deeply emotional and faith-filled testimony about how they almost lost their child when she gave birth to him. According to her, their baby was born prematurely in 2024 and faced serious complications shortly after birth. They were so close to losing him after he was born as a premature baby.
“His lungs were not fully developed
The doctors said his condition was critical and that he needed to be transferred to another hospital
I was scared all I could do was pray
I did not ask God for answers or explanations
I asked for one thing only a life extension for my baby”
AJ said doctors immediately informed her of her son’s critical condition and the urgent need to transfer him to another hospital. Overwhelmed with fear, she could only pray for her son’s life.
It was a moment of desperation when she asked God not her “whys” but just one thing: more time—an extension of life for her baby. She witnessed how the doctors revived him by performing CPR, until she lost consciousness. The moment she regained consciousness in the recovery room, her first question was about her child, and she was told that he had been admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Those days were heavy and quiet
