Matet de Leon Goes Beast Mode Amid Wedding Controversy
MATET DE LEON – What started as a simple wedding quickly turned into a heated online issue after netizens questioned Ian de Leon’s absence, prompting Matet de Leon to speak out.
Actress Matet de Leon went into full “beast mode” as she strongly responded to bashers who have been spreading negative and malicious comments about her and her siblings online.
The controversy stemmed from the absence of Ian de Leon at the wedding of Kenneth de Leon, the youngest child of National Artist Nora Aunor. Speculation quickly circulated on social media, with some netizens claiming that Ian deliberately skipped the wedding due to an alleged rift with Nora Aunor’s adopted children. Others insisted that Ian was not invited at all, which explained why the biological son of Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon was missing from the event.
While the rumors continued to spread, many netizens also came to Matet’s defense, calling out bashers and vloggers for allegedly creating misleading and false content just to stir controversy and generate views.
Amid the growing backlash, Matet took to Facebook to directly address the issue and express her frustration toward those who continue to attack her family. In her post, she wrote:
“Please stop harassing my brother dahil sa wedding na may ‘kulang.’
“Wala kaming obligasyon na mag explain sa inyong lahat dahil pinipili lang namin kung ano ang willing kami i share sa lahat. Yung iba, amin na lang.
“Napakadali para sa inyo to judge us. Sinasabihan ko na kayong lahat na magsisimula nang mawalan ng bigat sa amin ang opinyon ninyo dahil hindi na kami magbabasa ng pinagsusulat ninyo na walang ka kwenta kwenta at bulok,” Matet’s bold statement.
She continued by apologizing to those who left kind messages, saying:
“Humihingi din kami ng pasensiya sa lahat ng may good comments. Hindi na po namin mababasa yun. Pero salamat sa inyo na may mga matuwid na pag iisip at maaayos ang pag uugali.
“Sa totoo lang, wala nang ginawang tama kaming mga apat na ampon ng nanay namin, ms. nora aunor.”
Matet further emphasized that they are choosing to ignore hateful opinions moving forward:
“Ngayon, tatanggalan na namin kayo ng power over our minds. From now on, lahat kayong bulok na tao na may nakakasukang comments ay wala nang importansya sa amin.”
She ended her post with gratitude for supportive netizens and a stern warning to those reposting her content without permission:
“Again, maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng mga mabubuting tao na bukas ang isip at mabuti sa aming apat na ampon. God bless all of you.
