Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about the Earthquake in Sultan Kudarat, January 28, 2026

EARTHQUAKE – The Phivolcs recorded a 5.7 magnitude quake in Sultan Kudarat today, January 28, 2026. Here are the details.

Following the 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Cebu last September 30, another significant quake was recently recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) in another province. According to the agency, the quake recently hit Sultan Kudarat, and it has a magnitude of 5.7.

The shaking occurred at 01:05 AM with a depth of 19 km, and the location is 06.38°N, 123.59°E – 055 km S 69° W of Kalamansig of Sultan Kudarat.

Aftershocks have followed, and no damage is expected.
