Kapuso actress Rita Daniela admitted that she fell in love with her former love team, actor Ken Chan, who is currently missing in action.
The last time actor Ken Chan was spotted was in Thailand. He was spotted partying at the Songkran Festival in April 2025. Chan has a pending case of Syndicated Estafa in the Philippines. Last November, authorities failed to serve a warrant of arrest for the actor because he was not home.
Syndicated estafa is a non-bailable offense under Art. 315, (2) (a) of the RPC, and carries the maximum penalty of life imprisonment, once proven beyond a reasonable doubt that “the swindling (estafa) is committed by a syndicate consisting of five or more persons formed with the intention of carrying out the unlawful or illegal act, transaction, enterprise or scheme.”
In a previous article, Rita Daniela revealed she’s no longer friends with Chan. They are a former love team, and they almost became business partners. He was her best friend, and he used to be special to her.
She said she was surprised by what happened to his businesses and that all she could do was pray for him. In the same interview, she revealed that they nearly became a couple in the past but did not pursue it. Although they initially managed to remain friends, circumstances eventually led them to no longer be on good terms.
“Tunay talaga. Hindi ko naman ikinakaila yun na na-in love ako talaga sa kanya, you know. But siyempre, you know, past is past again. And I just hope that, you know, that he gets to find the person that who will really, really love and accept him,” she said.
She was sad about what happened to them, and it lasted for many years, working to achieve everything they reached together as RitKen.
