BJMP said Bong Revilla attempted to do this, but failed.
Detained former senator Bong Revilla reportedly tried to bring clothes inside the jail, but the items were immediately barred.
Former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla surrendered to the authorities after Sandiganbayan’s Third Division on Monday released a warrant of arrest and a hold departure order against him and other individuals allegedly involved in the flood control scandal.

Seven years after his 2018 acquittal from the pork barrel scam, the former senator is detained again for graft and malversation charges over a flood control project in Bulacan.
In a previous article, it was reported that Revilla will be detained at the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas, along with the other individuals arrested. This is upon the order of the Sandiganbayan’s Third Division.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)said Revilla would be treated like the ordinary detainees. There would be no special treatment for him, which means he would as well receive the standard PHP 100 daily food allowance. The said center is deemed to be practical for court proceedings as it is located just 10 kilometers from the Sandiganbayan.
Recently, the BJMP relayed that Revilla tried to bring clothes and gadgets into the Quezon City Jail. However, this attempt was immediately barred by jail personnel. Instead, he was given the yellow shirt and jogging pants, the standard uniform for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
“Lahat ng damit na hindi authorized, hindi dilaw, gaya ng civilian plain clothes niya na dala, pinauwi natin ’yon sa kanyang abogado. And other gadgets, pinauwi rin natin dahil bawal ang gadgets,” said Jail Supt. Jayrex Joseph Bustinera.
